Hats off to the Tripletail!
The shape of this fish spawns the word tripletail, because the fins near the tail give the appearance of three tails instead of one.

Tripletail is found throughout the Gulf of Mexico. The younger fish are found close to shore, in bays, and estuaries. You can catch some giant tripletail hanging around markers and buoys. In deeper water use heavy leaders and line, due to the fish reaching over 3 feet in length and weighting up to 50 pounds.

Excellent bait would be live bait, such as clams, finger mullets, shrimp, or chunks of white bait. If you prefer artificial bait, try any of the jigs on the market
