Fishing with Jigs!
Small jigs can be fished suspended under popper floats. The method is to pop the float frequently, by bringing the rod tip up vertically with a twitch. The suspended jig will jump up and the bobber will pop up and down. The noise and movement will attract fish and will surprise you with a varied catch like flounder, catfish, ladyfish, and others to boot.
Casting a jig into the wind is advantageous over other types of bait casting lures. Its weight and compact size will give you twice the distance normally obtained with a plug or spoon of the same weight. And just think, if you cast with the wind you can get a "country mile" distance.
Vary the weights, colors, and skirts to find the right one to suit the day.
