Moving your bait with a balloon float!

A balloon is the most versatile float ever devised by those shore, bridge, or boat fishermen. It can be carried in your pocket or bait box and will not require any other device for attaching the balloon to the fishing line. The type and size of fish, like shark, sea trout, or maybe even flounder, determines the quality and strength of balloon to buy.

Make a single knot in the neck of the balloon, after inflating the balloon.

The weight of the bait will help you determine the inflation size and the depth of the water to be fished. Stretch the neck of the balloon, and tie it around the line or leader being used. This rig is used frequently when fishing for black tip shark in shallow water. When the bait is taken, you will hear a "Ka-pop" as the balloon goes under and bursts.
